Simple Ribbed Cuff Wrist Warmers – Free Crochet Pattern
One of the first things I made when I learned to crochet was a pair of wrist warmers. AKA fingerless gloves. They keep your hands warm, your fingers free, and plus, they just look cool.
This pattern is just basically another version of my Simple Wrist Warmers Pattern, but, you guessed it, with a cuff.
It’s worked in DC and FPDC/BPDC in the round. If you haven’t tried front post/back post DC do yourself a favor and Google or youtube yourself up a tutorial. It’s a must have in your crochet bag of tricks!
Really easy to customize this one…just have your starting chain fit over the widest part of your hand when you form it into a ring. An even number of starting chains is important, otherwise your count will be off and you won’t get an even ribbing with the cuff.
Simple Ribbed Cuff Wrist Warmers
Notes: Worked in the round from bottom/cuff up.
Ch – Chain
St – Stitch
Sl st – Slip Stitch
Dc – Double Crochet
FPdc – Front Post Double Crochet
BPdc – Back Post Double Crochet
Dc2tog – Double Crochet 2 Together/ Double Crochet decrease
1: Ch even number to fit around widest part of hand. 28 and an H hook works great for me.
Being careful not to twist, join to first ch to form ring.
Ch 2 (counts as dc)
Dc in next ch and each ch around. (Double check your count, that last ch can be sneaky)
Join to ch-2 with sl st
2: Ch 2 (Does NOT count as st)
FPdc around DC from round just below
BPdc around next dc
* FPdc around next dc, BPdc around next dc *
Repeat from * to * around
Join to first FPdc with sl st(Skipping ch-2)
3: Ch 2 (Does not count as st)
FPdc around dc from round just below
BPdc around next st
* FPdc around next dc, BPdc around next dc *
Repeat from * to * around
Join to FPdc with sl st (Skipping ch-2)
4: Repeat round 3
5: Ch 2 (Counts as dc)
Dc in next st and each st around
Join to ch-2 with sl st
6-8: Repeat round 5
9: Ch 2 (Counts as dc)
Dc in next st and each st around, leaving last 4 st unworked.
Ch 4
Sk 4 st, join to ch-2 with sl st
10: Ch 2 (Count as dc)
Dc in next st and each st around until reaching ch-4 space
4 dc in ch-4 space
Join to ch-2 with sl st
11: Ch 2 (Counts as dc)
Dc in next st and each st around
Join to ch-2 with sl st
12: Repeat round 11
13: Ch 2 (Counts as dc)
Dc in next st and each st around, leaving last 2 st unworked
Dc2tog over last 2 st
Join to ch-2 with sl st
Fasten off, weave in ends.

I have been spending way too much time on my computer these days since I retired. If I’m not here, I’m crocheting!! Anyway, I’ve looked for fingerless glove patterns because my hands get freezing cold typing away! All your patterns are glorious!!
