Easter Eggs – Free Crochet Pattern
|Easter Eggs – Free Crochet Pattern
In an Easter basket, on a garland, or sprinkled throughout the house, these little eggs are a quick way to add a pop of color to your house. Also, they are fun to throw, up in the air, and at people. I’m going to put them in my daughter’s basket and, inevitably, they will get thrown around in a (loud) craze, peaking in the midst of a sugar rush.
These cute little crochet eggs measure in at 2-1/8″ tall, just about. They are the perfect size for small hands to squeeze. If you have a cat, these would make a great toy. You can add a little bell, a sprinkle of catnip on the inside. Your kitty cat would go nuts for it!
If you have been wanting to dip your toes into amigurumi this is a really easy pattern to start with. Change colors as often as you like and “float” the yarn on the inside of the egg and you’ll have less ends to weave in. If you desperately do NOT want to weave in tails (who loves that), turn the egg inside out before the 10th round or so, take ALL the tails, and tie them together in a big knot, as tight as you can without warping the shape of the egg. Tada! The easy way, lol.
