Free Crochet Pattern – Textured Soap Saver

Recently I had the chance to review the book Crochet Stitches and Easy Projects, from Leisure Arts. If you are interested, you can find that review here: Crochet Stitches and Easy Projects – Book Review.

Crochet Stitches & Easy Projects
The book has 19 great stitch patterns, but the one I picked out first to turn into an actual crochet design was the “textured stitch” on page 10. I’ve been on a washcloth crocheting kick lately, and this stitch just spoke to me instantly. You will most likely be seeing this as a dish/washcloth pattern in the future, but first I wanted to make a soap saver.

Soap savers make a lovely small gift, just add a fancy soap to make it extra special! It works up quick too, so would make a great last minute gift if you need to make something fast. The easy pattern is simple enough for beginners, and instant gratification for the seasoned crocheter. I used cotton, but you could use an acrylic yarn, anything that washes well. You can add the pattern to your Ravelry queue here: Textured Soap Saver Crochet Pattern
