I’ve been working on this blanket off and on for a while now, as a snuggly blanket for my little lady. It’s the perfect project for using up partial skeins. I used 90% leftover yarn myself. For the marbled effect, I used 2 strands of lighter weight yarn held together (the rest is worsted weight). To finish it off I made a border using 6 rows of SC.

The pattern I used is called “A Better Granny Rectangle”, and it is just that. The pattern shows how to start a blanket creating a perfect, even rectangle.

Even though it’s all purple and girly, I found my husband snuggled up in it yesterday…he says “ok when you gonna make her a blanket?” Alright hubby, I can make you a pink and purple blanket, if that’s what you want!
