Bias Stripes Scarf – Free Knitting Pattern

Bias Stripes Scarf - Free Knitting Pattern

Recently I decided to try knitting (we crafty people always have too many/not enough hobbies). It hasn’t come completely easy but I’ve been keeping at it, taking it slow. So far I’ve just made a few dish cloths, but I have been keeping my eye out for other simple patterns to build up my confidence. Perusing through the AllFreeKnitting.com website I found this easy “Bias Stripes Scarf” Free Knitting Pattern and thought it would be fun one to try.

Luckily I had the exact yarn on hand the pattern called for. Caron Simply Soft Stripes is a self striping yarn, and gives the scarf its pretty stripes, with no color changes necessary. Wanting the scarf to be a bit skinnier, I cast on 32 instead of 42. Other than that, I followed the pattern exactly (which is only a two row repeat). Once you have done a few rows in the pattern you’ll be able to knit this one mindlessly, while enjoying your favorite tv show, audio book, or podcast. Happy knitting!
