Bias Triangle Shawl – Free Knitting Pattern
|Spring is in the air! Although it may be time to ditch the winter scarves and hats, shawls remain a beautiful transitional accessory for those days and night where you want to keep the chill off your bare neck and shoulders. This “Bias Triangle Shawl” is the perfect no-frills shawl that really shows off a pretty yarn.
As far as knitted shawls go, it really doesn’t get any easier than this one. For any beginner knitters out there who have maybe knit a washcloth or scarf and want to try something new, this is a great project. It may even be easier than “The Easiest Shawl”, another free knitting pattern. No yarnovers and no purls makes this a great shawl to knit while watching tv. Just use a stitch marker to mark your increase row (or decrease row), and you pretty much won’t have to think at all!
Lion Brand “Shawl in a Ball” or “Cake in a Ball” worked up so beautifully with this pattern, and created a generous sized shawl for just one skein of yarn. Without blocking, my shawl measures 42” from wingtip to wingtip, and 22” from top center down to bottom.
Grab your needles and yarn, lets make a pretty shawl!
